SoftwareOne completed the Crayon acquisition in July 2025. The product is excellent. The price band ($20,000–$50,000/yr) and the Salesforce-embed-first GTM are aimed at established PMM teams. If you are a founder, fractional PMM, or marketing agency, you need a different tool. Kompense is that tool.

Crayon pricing per Vendr / G2 / Capterra disclosed benchmarks, April 2026.
Crayon’s battlecard depth, win/loss analysis, customer success motion, and Salesforce/Slack workflow integrations are years ahead of any AI-native upstart. Their Sparks AI engine is genuinely strong. If your sales org runs ten thousand opportunities a year and you have an integrated PMM team, Crayon’s ROI math probably works.
For everyone else — founders, fractional PMMs, B2B SaaS teams under 50 reps, marketing agencies running 5–30 client accounts — the price-to-buyer-fit math does not work. That is the gap Kompense fills.
